SLB:BIO is at the heart of our ambitious initiative that integrates animal by-product processing into existing biorefineries using Selabtec’s technology. This project aims to produce advanced biodiesel for automotion from a variety of waste materials, including glycerin. This biodiesel serves also as a stable, renewable, and cost-efficient feedstock for the production of Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO) for Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) in conventional refineries. By transforming existing biodiesel plants and maximizing the use of non-edible raw materials, we’re not only creating sustainable fuels but also contributing to a more circular economy.
SLB100 has the potential to halve NOx and particulate emissions in heavy diesel vehicles whilst reducing carbon footprint by up to 90% in comparison to the use of fossil diesel.
SLB100 outperforms diesel and other biofuels, even at low temperatures, being a product compatible with current logistics and distribution infrastructure for diesel fuels, from the refinery to pump stations.
The proprietary SLB:BIO technology employed to produce the SLB100 biofuel, is an innovation developed and patented by Selabtec.
